Especially in uncertain times, successful strategy depends on dynamic and creative leadership. We work with individuals and teams to build their capacity to achieve professional goals and support their organizations to advance strategic ambitions and operational success.

Capacity Building for Nonprofit CEOs

Strengthen the leadership acumen of nonprofit CEOs in the region to build the collective capacity of agencies to collaboratively deliver services within the community and to protect the foundation’s investments in the community nonprofits.

Development of a cohort-based leadership program that encompassed group training, individual coaching, and peer consultation among participating CEOs. During the first 10 years of the program, more than 160 CEOs have completed the twelve-month leadership development program and remained involved as alumni, creating a much-needed peer network for regional nonprofit leaders.

Cambridge Hill Partners designed the program, facilitated all group sessions, and provided individual coaching to the CEOs.

Developing an Authentic Leadership Style

The CEO of an international pharmaceutical company sought to invest in the leadership development of a member of the senior leadership team in preparation for an expanded role at the executive level.

Individuals within this rapidly growing, international company were expected to create their own “visibility opportunities” and to be proactive in developing relationships with key senior leaders outside of their own line of business. With the support and guidance of a Cambridge Hill Partners coach, the senior leader has become a mentor and sponsor of the company’s Latinx Leadership Group, mentoring others across cultures, functions, and levels. They have found skillful ways to raise their visibility, broaden and deepen relationships with senior managers, and remain firmly grounded in their own values and cultural heritage.

Using well-developed coaching practices, we designed an individualized development program to meet the personal and professional goals of the senior leader. Over six months, a Cambridge Hill Partners partner worked with the individual to understand their career aspirations, embrace their authentic “servant leadership” style, present their own leadership values, and further develop their communication skills and executive presence.
